    what to plant together?

    This year I am planting Tansy by all of my vining crops. Can`t think of where I read it but it is worth a try. I read something, write it down and forget where it came from.Books and magazines all over the house. Too bad it is time to be outside! Too bad it is snowing!!!!:/

    Favorite FLOWER to grow in your garden?

    I think back to my Moms garden. Oriental poppies (big and papery) and Peonies. I have some of her poppies finally growing here but can not grow Peonies for the life of me. I plant flowers all over the garden and yard but these are my favs.:bee

    For the great healthy veg, therapy,satisfaction of providing for our family, economics...and teaching others that it can be done. So many people do not try it.

    can i grow garlic in the house?

    When I have garlic in the house that is starting to grow I push them into some soil. They grow fast but I use the greens like scallions. Nice flavor and you can snip them off several times. They peter out and never grow a bulb but they are tasty!

    I have been using a lot of my dried tomatoes this winter. Store bought are not so good or cheap! They are great reconstituted with hot H2o and olive oil. Also add garlic and dried onions. Delicious on salads, pizza and stir frys.:drool

    Need help for window box

    Love my window box. It is the size of my front picture window. I do not fill it with dirt but use 15 ice cream buckets filled with dirt. They fit perfectly. That way I can take them out in winter and fill it with pine boughs and bird feeders. I am thinking of having two sets so I can plants...

    She wanted a garden of her own...

    So great to see the little gardening. From the time my children were very small (adults now) they always got seeds in their Easter basket. Carrot seeds of course and veggies and flower seeds they liked. It was great having them in the garden with me, although I ended up doing alot of theirs...

    An eggbake for supper. Fresh eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, fresh peppers, onions, oregano and last years dried tomatoes. Delicious:P

    Are you sure! I planted them last year. Grew great..very pretty. Tried them in pancakes..they were vile tasting. The dog wouldn`t eat them and neither would the chickens! Pancakes were great but not the huckleberries.:/

    Because the compost is moist and warm..Perfect conditions!:happy_flower
