    Another great canning weekend!

    Thanks Southern Gardener, our tomatoes are just starting so there's lots more canning to be done, we just can't get enough of that great feeling of having garden veggies when those tasteless store veggies are on store shelves. Nothing like going shopping in your own pantry... :)

    Canning question

    I never did boil the lids, I just put them in a sauce pan with hot tap water, turn the burner on till bubbles form on the lids then turn off the heat.

    Thank you 4grandbabies, I think I found the answer, I tightened the lids too much. Weird how they say not to sterilize the lids in boiling water before canning...
