My third tragedy: I had planted a packet of wildflowers. I put some netting over them so the chickens wouldn't get them. And they didn't. So then when they were, I'd say about a foot tall, so I took the netting off because the chickens wouldn't be able to tear them up.
BUT THEY DID TEAR THEM UP...

I thought it would be fun for everyone to name their three worst garden mishaps,tragedies and/or accidents
1.Last year I had a very pretty wheelbarrow full of petunias and impatiens , but no one could see it. SO I moved it out by the gate. BIG MISTAKE! The chickens found it. and tore it all...
I was just sitting around thinking 'bout gardens and chickens and then I thought, "Why don't I start a spring countdown?!" Here goes: 1 DAY TO SPRING!!!!!

If you plant basil and marigolds around the tomatoes it should keep them away.
We had LOTS of tomato plants last year and we didn't have a single squirrel!

Yeah, I grow it! I feed the birds, the seed spills out, and voila!
I have a field of birdseed! Corn, sorghum, sunflowers, millet. :P
I don't see why it wouldn't grow.
