This is half of the cleared acre of land that is our 'yard'. I'm planning to enclose a section for my garden, but I'm considering fencing off a section for the goats or sheep (whatever we plan to get in the spring)...
It's riddled with daisies and these purple flowers... What are they?
Well, I'm apparently horrid at guessing plants without their foliage. What I thought was a Fercynthia (sp?) bush, actually is something completely different...
It's got pink flowers. Sorry for the crumby picture. Does anyone know what it is?
ETA -- the old homeowner has christmas lights...
This is the tree I was questioning. It's so close to the addition they put on, I don't want it to get hurt. It looks pretty shabby already and doesn't get much sunlight (except the canopy). I'm thinking it's an apple, but anyone know what kind?
Please, correct me if I'm mistaken!
Sorry...
Today, the house is officially ours :D Although I'm still waiting on Mr. Dingbat ExHomeowner to hand over his keys!
We stopped in today to see if their stuff was moved out... apparently they're leaving us with a ton of furniture that's trashed. How nice...
Anyways, I got a picture...
simple - I posted links on both threads. You can find Italian Ice Tomatoes and the Lemon Cukes at Burpee.
Oakland - Thanks. I read the reviews after I posted this. They do seem to be disease prone, so I'll pass. Thank you for the suggestions for others though. I'm going to try a few different...
I dunno, I'm afraid to get a ton of veggies and get frost. We usually have snowfall around Halloween here, whether or not it sticks. I'm buying just about every tomato variety I can get my hands on. I'll be canning alot soon
Oh, I also found the lemon cukes at Burpee !
If I can find them locally, already started, then I'll attempt to get some this year. It's so late in the season already, I don't have alot of options. ::sigh:: I'll enjoy my container garden this year. LOL
The new house has a walnut tree, but I have no idea what kind. I don't have a picture, so I can't post it right now... but if anyone happens to have a photo of their own walnut tree/s can you please post them here? Thanks so much!!! :)
Well thanks a lot guys  I pulled a pod that appeared to be full today and munched away on those little peas... Normally, I hate peas (cooked) but these are good :/ Ut oh...
:gig
Oh gosh yeah, he's a little OVERLY excited about the gardening efforts. Him and the baby try to water the garden themselves while we're outside.
I can see it already... They're going to go crazy when we go pick up the chicks from Jody this summer.
