@Ridgerunner, no way, the name Karachaganak will stay. Maybe I will only add PL :)
Two years ago I sowed the Karachaganak seeds I got from Russ. Several of them grew as a true bush. Last year I sowed the seeds that I harvested from them and they repeated the kind of growth. This year, Russ...
@Ridgerunner, I have been growing Karachaganak for two years and have had a very decent harvest of this bean. Next year I will sow the bush version again. I want to stabilize it to the end.
I think these bushes look very hungry. It seems to me that beans with wide pods and round seeds have higher fertilization requirements. A few years ago I had a similar situation with Supernano Giallo bean. It started to grow properly when I additionally watered it with a solution of fertilizer...
@Bluejay77, unfortunately, the Bubblegum pods don't have a uniform pink color at the moment. Maybe later when they are more mature.
Hidatsa Shield Figure pods looks promising,
similarly Schwarze Kugel.
@heirloomgal, are your Floretas blooming? Mine not yet.
@flowerbug
I don't have pods yet. The Spotted Pheasant seeds in the photo are from the sample you sent me. I separated the patterns, left two seeds of both for comparison, and planted the rest.
Seeds on the left - I have 4 plants which grow as a bush.
Seeds on the right - I have 3 plants, one...
@flowerbug, I have one very brave climber from Spotted Pheasant seeds, variant on the right.
The plant has released a few runners that are already taller than me, so they are more than 1.8 meters.
This is the flower of this Pheasant. The wings are white, the rest are slightly pink but it...
I started taking pictures of the pods.
Didieji Žalimai - bush wax from Lithuania.
Mongeta del Ganxet de Mata Baixa de Viladrau - bush bean from Catalonia, Spain.
I once wrote that I received a lot of local bean varieties from Basque Country. My mistake. I mistook the coasts of Spain. The...
Shipments from outside the European Union are collected by my friend in England. Shipping directly to Poland is currently too risky due to customs regulations. Hope this will change in the future. So far, all parcels from the US and Canada have reached London an later to me without any problems...
I made these supports from wooden poles, mostly maple ones. Now I plant 4-5 common beans and 2 runner beans next to them. Before, I had planted more, but it was getting a terrible thicket and I invited various fungal diseases in this way.
Wow, I thought Dakota Bumble seeds only come in the three colors I have. Of course, I would like the original seed pack from Prairie Road Organics. I'm happy to send you something back.
@meadow, I planted all Dakota Bumble colors (black, white and motley à la Jacob's Cattle) in separate rows.
There was only one white seed in the sample I got from Great Lakes Staple Seeds. Last year, I planted it at home in a pot, and now I had a dozen seeds at my disposal.
A few of my other beans.
Tuvagliedda Nera
Tuvagliedda Rossa
Bubblegum
Cranberry Flieder
Jack In The Beanstalk
Fox Family Greasy
Dakota Bumble (black seeds) is the first to bloom.
@flowerbug, I planted all the beans you sent me. That's how Yed grows.
I noticed that Spotted Pheasant seeds had two mottling patterns, so I planted them separately.
