I've had really good luck with them. They love containers. If I fertilze them, the leaves can get really overcrowded, and they'll stop blooming. So I just pinch off a leaf here and there to keep them thinned out and deadhead the blossoms before they go to seed. If you keep them from going to...
Thanks! And yes, the pots hold up great! I've had mine about 5 years now and they're worry free for me. Now, we don't have extreme cold here, so I'm not sure just how cold they can stand. But I have had clay pots crack during a cold snap while these held up just fine.

We have so many soil/pest problems right now that containers are my favorite option...These are the Gerberas I overwintered from last Summer. They're quite happy to be out of the greenhouse. I love a happy pot of Gerberas! I also like the lightweight faux ceramic containers. They won't freeze...
This warms my heart! Growing up in Alabama, Passion Flower vines grow wonderfully in the red clay common in this area. I had no idea it was even sold in stores, we always considered it a weed and pulled it from the yard! Here in AL, it's very invasive and grows and climbs like crazy. But the...
I so enjoy reading y'alls posts.. While I didn't read all 16 pages, I did get a good laugh out of starting off reading about shade plants and winding up discussing sheets, lol! Anyway, I wanted to suggest Plectranthus Mona Lavendar if no one has already. A friend gave me a little today...
I potted the Gerbera Daisies my daughter and I propagated last Winter, hoping getting them out into the sun will encourage them to grow a little faster. They're a bit slow growing and puny so far. I also potted the Wave petunias from last Summer I overwintered under a pile of leaves (lucky...
My sweet neighbor walked over today and surprised me with a gift, a small pot of Plectranthus Mona Lavendar! It's so pretty! :love It's not readily available in our area and she had it special ordered from a local nursery.
I would love to propagate this as I know it looks amazing planted...
I always feel terribble ripping my summer annuals out to replace with winter growers...last fall my wave petunias were so pretty, it just bothered me to think of throwing them out...so I pulled them from my pots and covered them with a thick layer of leaves...I had totally forgotten until I...
Help! Some kind of varmit is digging in my poppy beds! They are just starting to sprout. What can I do? Does this look like an armidillo digging to you guys? I don't even have anything planted in here an armidillo would eat. A chipmunk maybe? I'm so frustrated!:hit:hit:hit
