That's such a pretty flower @Carol Dee. I'm not good with flowers, but am getting lots of tips on this site. About the only flower I can get to stay alive is a pansy. The name is an oxymoron, those things seem to live through everything.

That sounds fantastic, or crazy, but since trading our little 2 acres in for a big homestead is in my dreams I'm going to go with fantastic! :D

@so lucky Did you plant things around your banana tree, and if so did you dig those up in the fall as well? My husband wanted to decorate around the horse shoe pits (which is what is in the background). I'm more worried about "friendly fire" than the weather at this point. :D

I know it's a long shot, but we just couldn't pass up a chance with this banana tree we found at a local garden show.
