It's really quite interesting to go horse riding in the Teton Mountains with one dad who is a cowboy/mountain man and has lived in said mountains his entire life, and the other dad who is a mining engineer.
Not only do you learn about the animals that live there, the indians who used to live...
We had balcony, it was so fun! I loved the singing sands beach with the pinky, squeaky sand! My mom stopped to take pics of EVERY country church we passed in our week there... and at every restaurant I ate seafood chowder because each place had a different recipe!
All I want it for is a houseplant I don't care about it fruiting or not. They do fine indoors with the proper care, my florist/gardener extraordinaire Grandmother left me her horticultural science books and a neat "Success with houseplants" binder full of info. BUT the info that I have is...
Striped Roman and Cuor di Bue are our favorites and do really well for us. I used old seed for my striped romans this year and only have 2 plants with a very few fruits... I'll be saving seed this year.
So, I'm trying this out for the first time ever and the pit has just begun to split at the bottom for the root to come out.
When I'm ready to pot it, what kind of soil (is plain potting soil ok?), how much gravel in the bottom for drainage, do I put a stake in right away? I obviously have no...
I've had it in the window for several months as opposed to under my fluorescent desk light because it hasnt flowered in about 8 months and I didnt know what to do. But its in a north facing window so it never gets direct sunlight.

The leaves on the edges have taken on this pinkish brown color but arent withering or falling off... I haven't changes a single thing in the way I care for this plant in over a year and its suddenly making a stink about something...
A lot of our corn in the area has reached the pineappling stage... the stuff next to any creek bed that held water longer is looking great, but thats a tiny percentage of the acres sown here. Our overacheiver neighbor planted extremely early and his corn looks good because it had passed the...
I think it IS due to the drought, but all 32 of the tomatoes have had the same amount of water and only 2 plants have BER... We've been running the sprinkler in the morning and evening before and after the sun. We can only run it for about 20 minutes at a time because our house runs on a...
We have a broken AC unit and 90 degree temps with 90% humidity... eating makes me feel like puking so no snacking here. down to 2 meals a day, breakfast and supper since those both occur when its cooler.... I dont like AC anyway and usually keep the house around 76-78F even with AC.
