Get yourself a good Bastard File set, one that has a flat, 1/2 round and a rat tail in it. A good file set will put a good edge on all your gardening tool.
For putting a good edge on a gardening knife get a good wet stone, just remember that some take oil and others take water as a lubricant...
I got my Stokes and Burpee so far but of coarse there the ones I the most and soonest from.
They will have my order (most of the time) before mid-January.

I have been trying to get rid of the Stinging Nettle that grows wild around here and here you are planting it. :)
Good luck with the fall garden, I wish that I garden year round.
Chris
Thanks catjac.
I think that in the not to far future I may sit down and do a page or blog just on this greenhouse and the information about it. I may keep updating it with progress and the planting and such within the greenhouse.
Chris
Thank You,

Chris
Thank you.
I'v been thinking about having gravel under the benches and either paving bricks or a plastic interlocking greenhouse flooring for the walkway.

I trim the roots back to about a inch in length, then I re-pot into the pot of appropriate size, example a 32-cm bulb would go into a 4.50-in pot.
Chris
Are you putting them in a cool location (about 55*) and then letting them "dry up"?
Also as there growing they need a good balanced fertilizer to perform there best and form a good bud for the next year, we feed ours about once a week with Jack's 10-30-20.

desertcat,
How much bigger is your pot than the bulb? The pot should be 3" bigger than the bulb that will give a 1-1/2" head room around the bulb. (Amaryllis like to be a little tight in there pot) Also how deep are you planting?
Chris

The heat of the summer made it hard to even think about working on the greenhouse so I thought I would just wate till fall then start working on it again.
All was not wasted time though, the summer gave me plenty of time to think about ideas for two "add-ons".
Add-on one attached 8'x20' lean...
Been a wile since I have had time to work on the greenhouse but got to get back on it about a week ago and got some work done on it.
Up dated pictures,
Chris
Thank You both.
I happen to see them today on the milkweed along with the Monarchs, Viceroys and Lord knows how many bees and just could find out what they were.
