I pour my left over coffee on house plants...they have done much better since I started doing this (it helps me remember to water them too!)
I save up my grounds in a can under the sink and then take them out to the garden and sprinkle around wherever I want more acidic soil...like blueberries...
I hear you! I feel like I have looked up how to prune various fruiting plants every year to remember! I just wanted to mention, that some types of raspberries work like blackberries (need to prune out old canes), and some you prune down the whole plant for fresh growth--you can even just mow...
That was very informative, thanks for taking the time. We live in northern ohio and so it gets pretty cold here. but they were already showing signs of stress in the fall, so i think its probably related to a lack of water. i watered it over the summer, but maybe not as much as i should have...

we planted 20 nice 7 ft. arbor vitae as a screen last spring. now, half of them look on the way out. i'm pretty sure we planted them right, but there was a 20 ft. maple in the midst of them that may have been some competition with roots and sun. i mulched them heavily with grass clippings all...
