Hahaha, I recently took a chest xray of a, ummmm, altered, woman wearing only a hospital gown. In the picture, mid-chest, is a round metal object. Hmmmmmmmm thinking....thinking....finally go and look under her gown, Yup, quarter, STUCK to her boob. So its not just the bills ;)
Hi everybody, I havent popped by in a while :) Congrats on such an inspiring summer project, again, Kristi! I'm sure you spend a lot of time getting ready and doing these classes, but think how much it means to these kids. Very cool.
Well the little Raven has been getting big, of course! She's housetrained, as soon as she figured out how to work the dog door, no more accidents in the house. Except the "i'm so excited to see you I'm going to pee!" pee. Haha. Even better, she & Lucy are best friends now, inseparable really...
We have so many travel plans...and not enough time :) sure it sounds familiar to all of you!!
We are hoping to be able to drag the new trailer to southern Idaho in june...we'll see if its done by then! We're not rushing, its supposed to be a fun project not a nightmare!
Husband has replaced all the copper plumbing with Pex, installed the water heater. Some more drain work to be done... Propane is 90% done, I need to do some extensive cleaning on the stove pieces & parts...then test propane. Eek. Kinda nervous about that part.
Outside...we still need to patch...
Rebuilt & re-shellaced our original screen doors. Put new screen in the one, and even had to fabricate some of the pieces from birch. Will hang these soon and take down the 2 outer doors to rebuild.
And more! Finished dinette cushion covers (a miracle, I'm not a "sewer!") and "upholstered" with the same fabric, to cover up the part we added to the dinette. I'll come back later today and fill you all in more.
P.S. Camp west - there is a Vintage Aljoa Campers group on facebook, small but...
hi all - I promised pictures of our new pup so here you go!! She is adorable...and soooo much trouble! Is a big adjustment to our lives, had to get up at 5 am this morning ...usually nothing causes me to stir before at least 7:30 on my days off!! And things are going really well as far as Lucy...
Here's a close up of the curtain pattern, @ninnymary . Its vaguely holiday-ish, sort of like christmas tree ornaments but abstract, with floral patterns too. but I absolutely love it and the green color matches the fiberboard used in the kitchen. My husband calls that 1950's green "little old...
Kitchen - has all refinished wood panelling & cabinets, working 110 & 12 volt electric, city water and a 12 v water pump from the onboard water storage tank we added. New 3 way fridge. I still need to detail the stove - take every single piece apart, clean, replace & test the propane.
The...
Oh those are cute! We're still working away on our vintage trailer remodel. We've gotten lots accomplished this winter - I modified vintage curtains, sewed new seat covers, hubby upgraded all the plumbing & propane. Tons of little things are making it come together. I think it will still be a...
New bird for me today - in my yard!! 3 Common Redpoll sat in our tree for a few minutes. This species is #200 on my life list...its not that many compared to "real birders" who are out every day, but I'm pretty excited about it! I just started keeping this list last year, so I've actually seen...
Cool - Pygmy Owl is something I've never seen!! We have Western Tanagers here but I've mainly seen them up in the mountains, at higher elevations than where I live.
