My pole Wren's Egg was acquired from an Amish Farmer in Lancaster,Pa. The seed coat appears no different from the bush to my eyes. It is a vigorous climber with dense foliage. It has reached the top of my seven foot trellis and wants to go higher. The flowers are light pink. This is my...
Are the wren's egg pole or bush? I got some pole wren's egg from an Amish feller, but when reading about them I saw that there was a lot of stuff out there about the bush wren's eggs.
Dang, that is what I want my BP to look like and instead they looked grey last year. Last year was hot and dry. This year it has been cool and wet so maybe this will affect them. I have also noticed that last year there were no runners and this year they are running all over the place.
I got mine mine from bluejay77. I bumped it for several reasons.
He has SO many beans I want to try, but I would love to hear from him if he knows of other beams I might be disappointed with.
I can buy seeds from you on my old iPad and my ole lady does not give me a crap. If I use my phone she is on it like white on rice. My old iPad is helping my marriage. I do all kinds of stuff to help my marriage. loL.
On my old iPad, the last row of descriptions are now completely gone and the "additional beans on network page 2" is now in between the name and the pictures. The link works when clicked. Page two looks perfect.
Using an antique IPad the bottom row descriptions on page 1, under the name, is kind of messed up and the "additional beans icon" is covering these cutoff descriptions. It shows the name fine, then you can see unknown or pole but everything under that is cutoff. The link to the next page still...
Blooming Prarie, if I wait for the pods to fully dry the lavender color is fully washed out. If I harvest them before the pods are dried out they are the most lovely shade of lavender. Bluejay77 have you found this to be true in your garden?
Journey, so you too are seeing this and grow near me. I have only noticed that it affects P. vulgaris and not P. lunatus.
My family from Mississippi have grown what I believe is "Snow on the Mountain" butter bean for many years. It might be "Aubrey Deanne" though as they look a lot alike...
I have noticed that when I grow beans they have a different coloration than when sowed. For example, Giant Red Tarka is almost no white and all red. Jacobs Cattle is almost all red and no white. This does not happen with the black and white beans like ying yang aka calypso. It seems to only...
Just wanted to say hello and thank you for turning me onto this forum. I got those fort portal jades, Dalmatians, and Maine sunsets sowed today. I also have been a member at allotments 4 all for years now and posted in that bean thread for what it's worth. I do not have many post there as I...
Congratulations on finding it and good luck getting it through our customs officials. I have had decent luck having beans sent to me wrapped in tshirts and or stuffed in coffee cups.
