Hello! So my packet of seeds (cocona, from Baker's Creek) said to start indoors and surface sow. My question is: do surface sown seeds need light? Or should I keep them dark like other seeds until they germinate?
I am looking for some poppy seeds . Either Papaver somniferum or California poppy (Eschscholzia californica) I have lots of fresh seed for trade or I can pay you for the seeds . Also I would like to have some (Papaver nudicaule) Iceland poppy. I don't care if they are still in the seed heads ...
...can this be done in Zone 5B-6? I'd love to do this, have always wanted to try it, but don't know if I'd be throwing money away in doing it.
I'd be planting Candy onions and have read it can be done, but would love to hear from someone who has actually done it. Just read on the Burpee site...
The last image, is to a natural CROSS, of a brown tomato parent, and probably Early Girl parent, if someone just wants to grow to eat, and not worry about saving seeds.
