Not quite 100 here, but mid-90's & very high humidity. This is a very long heat wave; it appears the 90's might be over for now, but still mid- to upper 80's even 10 days out. Looks like we get a real summer this year; can't complain as long as the garden is prospering, and we have AC to let us sleep at night.
We were sitting on 98* in the shade yesterday...not sure how hot it was out in the sun. Low humidity right now, so I can bear it, as long as I'm not out in the sun too long. In the shade it was many degrees cooler, so it was like stepping from a furnace into a cool room to walk out of that sun into the shade.
We have not reached the 90s yet this year. Have only been in the 80s a few times. The high on Monday is going to be 68* and 82* for the fourth. Hope you all stay cool in the heatwave over there.
I have posted this before but worth repeating. One summer day I ended up in ER with dehydration and had to get IV fluids. The Dr treating me said the best thing i could do was eat a banana every day. Simple, cheap and tasty.
