We call it a creeper vine but what is it really?? Its growing up the mulberry tree and I'm worried its bad for chickens

Purple Wintercreeper, maybe. Does it turn reddish after the frost hits it?

We just moved here in late February so idk. all i know is it looks like ivy and I'm worried about my chickens getting sick from it. i cut the main 'trunk' of it but it feeds off the mulberry

Looks like what my mom has growing on a tree in her yard. It was there when she moved in. I think it's wintercreeper, at least that is the conclusion I came to.
