The size of some of these farms is just staggering! Like the 300 acre onion farm in southern Idaho. All those onions raised with drip irrigation! Are you kidding me?!

So now I know how many acres it takes to keep me in onions for a year...No wonder I end up buying them year after year.

Jaw-dropping, digitS'! I saw a farm family near here plant 1/4-ish acre of garlic last fall. Very labor intensive. This year I saw the many heads of garlic hanging from the ceiling of a shed. I suspect they were sold at the local farmers' market. Wow! And this was only a small portion of what is needed each year.

dang i would like to meet him could spend months just talking about peppers, that is a awesome outfit he runs....
and here i thought my little garden was labor intentive :hide..
