Along the outside of the fence are the left over tomato plants that were going into the compost bin, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it, so I dug a path and planted toms, squash, zukes, cukes and daylilies. These toms are actually doing better than the one IN the garden.

My herbs are still quite small, but all are doing well. I have planted 3 types of basil, a lot of dill, chives, mints that are in the pots, I also have 2 tiny bay trees in pots that I'll transplant when they are bigger. Costmary, 3 types of thyme, bee balm, fennell and a few others that I can't remember right now. :) Oh, and a few succulents that are in pots just because I love them.

Oh, I remember that lovely herb garden from last year! So pretty! How funny about the tomatoes! Don't ever try to figure out mother nature!

Your garden is so nice Joan! You obviously put a lot of love and labor into it.

I think your unfenced tomatoes are just super happy to not be compost!

The new back section is mostly Peas right now. I want them to hurry up and bloom. These were planted 4/24 and 4/25

Wow Joan! I particularly love the touches around the garden shed. It looks so wonderful after mowing, doesn't it? I love the feeling of the lawn freshly mowed. For a moment it feels like the yard could actually be controlled...and then everything grows in a day and reminds me how untamable nature can be!

I love your Saint Francis and all the wonderful things for birds in your yard!
