It has been suggested by an Iroquois chief that we should act with the idea that we do so with 7 future generations in mind.

Since my father's father was "Indian on both sides," according to his wife, the actions of his ancestors may explain why Father will be 98 years old, next month.

In this time when being Politically Incorrect is so highly prized: my father's heritage in this land now known as the United States, goes back a ways. Yes, it does ... nativististically speaking, 700 generations, minimum. At 98, and if forgiving your enemies is good but not before they are dead (to paraphrase Machiavelli), he has experienced some "goodness." Therefore, I will take what he often said to me as the gospel truth, "Do what your mother tells you!"

My Boy .. NyBoy! I'm voting for you!

So Lucky, do you suppose it's a universal?

Grandfather wasn't an Iroquois. His farm was outside the Choctaw capital. I've seen a picture of Dad in a highchair, in a field of stumps! I'm not quite sure what the significance of that was and didn't see the picture until after Grandpa was gone, so couldn't ask him. It might have hurt Dad's feelings if I'd asked him if his father was a "stump farmer." I know he grew alfalfa and peppers (of all things!) after they moved to New Mexico.

We are coming up to the New Moon. For some reason I feel like posting this video. @Beekissed is probably responsible but it's from several moons ago, in my life.

Ya know! My grandfather taught me how to play dominoes ... I was 6.

I believe he had a different domino in mind but ... Let's stay with that same guy from the Emerald Isle :D! Now this is older .... so, you'll have to turn your volume down:

¡Steve!
