I discovered this little guy today when I was out stripping the gourd vines from a trellis. We have had several nights with temps below 30F but this little tomato plant decided to blossom anyway.

What do you think about bringing it in for the winter, Smiles?

You know, there are some varieties that can grow/bloom/set fruit in colder weather, than can others.

You may have the next Glacier tomato there :p.

The poor thing. It's already showing signs of phosphorous and potasium deficiancy from the cold soil. Note the chlorosis in the leaves and purpling of the stems. It could be saved if the roots are not badly damaged and adequate heat, light and soil are provided...depending on the variety, of course.

so lucky

Huh! Some summers I would be glad to have tomatoes that looked that good! (but good diagnosing, MontyJ! :))
