Driving by the fire station this a.m. I 1st thouht someone had accidently left gear out in the drive. Upon a closer look I got chocked up. Thank You Long Grove Fire for honoring the fallen and doing what you do. God Bless

This morning on radio talking how the island of Manhattan was closed down for 3 days. No one could leave and get to their families. Every one kept waiting for more attacks.

Sad right after attack almost every house here had a flag !! Yesterday only the houses that normally fly flags had them

This horrendous attack was a shock worldwide. I happened to see it as it happened on TV, this can't be real!! but it was. Our local fire department was out in force collecting donations, all our shopping malls had firemen out front with a boot at their feet, I'm happy to say they filled up fast. I'm not sure but I think they even sent men to help out. We might think differently politically but when something like this happens we are family, if you attack family, watch out.

I can remember getting on a train headed for NYC. In the car was a marine with a machine gun. My thought was what is a machine gun to do against a bomb

It won't have much effect on a bomb.. but can have a devastating effect on a bomber.


We were working for a has-waste clean up company at the time. DH spent weeks up there sorting through debris. It was awful.

My cousin was tiring to find his wife's body. They where married 2 weeks it was her first day back at work from honeymoon. He started out hoping she was alive some how, but as the days past Recovering her body drove him. Never did find her.
