Theresa really looks forward to the annual Garlic fest in Bennington, Vermont, so we drove over today. I can not believe the number of people that attend this event; cars from Canada and all over the northeast. There were at least four lines of these concessions as shown below with vendors on both sides. They have garlic everything and most booths have samples. The fest has a rock band and amusements for the kids, big and little. Lots of cheese and booze for sale, with some samples. If you want to go around smelling like a goat, they have goat soap, or perhaps they use it to bathe their goats.. All that fuss over garlic! Vermonters are strange people. ;)

We also have a garlic festival in Gilroy, garlic capital. Never been there since traffic is always a mess with tons of people there.

Looks like a fun festival. Not real crowded. Older I get, the less I like traffic or crowds.

i've gone to one in Orange, MA call the North Quabbin Garlic & Arts festival. 1st year i went it wasn't the best weather but it was a nice little festival & not a huge amount of vendors but still nice to go & see some of the stuff going on. the next year went with my sister & there was a lot more stuff there. much bigger crowd & more vendors too. didn't go last year but i would like to go again soon since i mixed up my varieties & some that got left in the ground from last year didn't do well. i'd like to start all over in a new spot & with better markers.

heh, Jack the soap is actually made from the goat's milk & usually is perfumed so you won't be smelling like a goat!

Ok, this makes no sense to me. Use a product from a stinking animal and then have to perfume it to mask the stink? oK?

Wow Seed. Where have you gotten your impressions of goats?
Bucks stink during the rut. Does do not. Being an AG guy I assume you know that bucks don't give milk.
