A Tip for Cutworms

When you put out your transplant, put a toothpick right next to the stem. Sometimes I put two. The cutworm needs to wrap around the stem to do its damage, the toothpick prevents it - you won't lose a single stem this way, at least in my experience! :clap

Wow, I'll have to try that. I have heard of using cardboard rolls cut short around new plants. The toothpick idea is much simpler!
