Is anyone else watching this new summer series? It's on CBS, Wednesdays at 10/9pm, and was really intriguing last week. I missed what it was that was found in the concrete--was it a body with a silver bell?
I have to really concentrate to hear and understand what is going on with modern TV dramas; the action is so fast and the dialogue is cryptic and sometimes mumbled. And inevitably DH wants to talk about his latest project or who he ran in to in town, right at the most vital point of the show. Or he comes to the show late, and wants me to tell him what's going on. ACK!:barnie

Not watching, I've been trying to go to bed earlier lately, but I can commiserate on the dialogue. Sometimes I turn the captioning on, but if the conversations get too fast and involved that's frustrating too. If I'm going to read I'd rather it be a book, not the tv. And my husband does the same thing about asking what's going on.

Not watching, I was so looking forward to it too but with me if I can't get into a show in the first 20 minutes I turn if off and have now deleted it from my PVR. Sometimes just an opening scene, the background music will have me glued to the couch and I know this is a show that has caught my interest but, if I have trouble getting into it, game over. Now 'America's Got Talent', that one has me glued to the set. 'Hell on Wheels' is another favorite, as are 'Motive' and 'Criminal Minds Without Borders' plus a few more.

Another new show, "Brain Dead", seems to be a political agenda program in an adventure show format. "Republicans are behind all that is evil" is all I've gotten from it so far.

Pity, I like the background plot with brain eating bugs.

I absolutely couldn't follow "Brain Dead" although I tried. All those frenetic scene changes at the beginning lost me, so I was aggravated all through the program. I didn't watch anymore episodes. This is another example of the dialogue being too fast and mumbly. I know my hearing isn't what it used to be, but surely these people could enunciate.

I get so caught up with the errors in closed captioning, it distracts me from the show. Some of the errors they make are pretty funny.
