That is so awesome to read! At the same time it makes me worry about my mental health. LOL

Big pharma can't make any money from telling you to go roll in the dirt but vacines are big bucks. I've often observed that kids that play in the dirt and come in all grubby are healthier than kids with moms who keep them squeky clean at all times.
We're too obsessed with bacteria. Stores even have sanitizing wipes to wipe down the handles of shopping carts. If we're never exposed to bacteria we can't develop any immunity to them.

Mother nature has so many fascinating things to offer us- if we just take advantage of them! I could always judge how good my daughters day was, by the amount of dirt on her by bedtime!
Great article, thanks for posting it!

This is great! Next time hubby grumbles about having to till up yet another new garden bed for me, I'll just show him this and say, "See? It's GOOD for you!!" :p

heh, talking about tilling and getting all dirty. i tend to wear my crocs when i do that and my feet and the shoes get all filled with dirt and grime! i love the feeling that after i'm done tilling it just seems so right to walk around in the cool dirt barefoot! :D

Well no wonder I'm so darned healthy! During decent weather I seem to be always covered in dirt. Everybody makes fun of me (ok, part of that is because I garden in flip flops and my feet get pretty disgusting), but now I can tell them that there is a scientific basis for my esire to be filthy!!! lol
