Ant deterrent?

Ants are eating my strawberries!! I have never had ants here before. What would you use in the strawberry bed as a deterrent? I haven't found their nest yet...

For some reason ants kept making hills in my Brussels sprouts last year. I finally put those little ant traps out there...it worked.

My neighbor uses dry borax sprinkled on the ground, He claims it works and I am about to try it I have a colony moving into the garden!
