So this year I've tried a couple of things to prevent the squash borer. I planted later, used companion plants (radishes), and crop rotation. Anyway, I have what looks like very early squash borer damage on about half of my pumpkins. I tried to do bt injection into the stems, but it's really hard! I couldn't get much liquid in. Anyone ever try this method? If so, how did you know you got enough of the bt in there? I tried slitting the stems to look for the borers, but couldn't find them.
