Aphids....

So... this whole time I've been referring to the things that are on my sons pumpkins as aphids... because that's what I thought they were... NOPE!!! They're SQUASH BUGS!!!! And that's exactly what we do with them... *squish*

Austin always looks for the eggs and takes them off with his nail and then squishes any of the bugs that he finds.

Oops! Tip the plants gently, so you can see the bottom of the stems and leaves- they love to hide there. Keep squishing!

Oh yes... he's pretty proficient with catching them and squishing them!! LOL
