Hello all!
I planted 2 apple trees we got from a nursery in late Sept of '06. One is a Yellow Delicious the other is a Granny Smith. We pulled off the blossoms when they started blooming to let the roots take all of the energy last spring. This spring we let some of the blossoms stay on so we could enjoy them for a little. Well, the Yellow Delicious has apples growing on some of the branches but the Ganny has absolutely not one single apple growing on it.
Does anyone know why this would happen? We were assured from the nursery that the Granny would be pollinated by the Yellow, or the other way around (I can't remember ) I know one was a self pollinator and the other needed a pollinator. Did we do this right?
Sorry this is so long. Thank you for any input!
