So, I've got my pear tree already blossomed, my apple trees are just now starting to show their first signs of life, the last grapevine finally showed us its alive, the strawberries already are producing their first fruits, raspberries are popping their lil heads up..... everything but the blueberries! They're still baren little sticks showing no signs of life. Are the dead?

Scratch some of the barky outside of the twigs and see if its still green. My neighbors blueberries and my raspberries are fully producing leaves right now. :(

My raspberries have their lil green on the ground right now. There really isn't a "barky outside" for these... we just planted them last year. The outside is sort of red and yellowish green.

I'll go out and do a scratch test on them today, I REALLY hope they're still alive! :/

So... after all that stressing, I went to go do the "scratch test" on my little blueberry sticks, and lo and behold one of them had little tiny leaves, and the other had little buds!! :weee :ya :celebrate

They sure are!! This is only their 2nd season tho. If I get berries off of them this year I will be surprised.
