Deeply Rooted
I planted a medium sized plot of asparagus, last year it came up great ferned out and I left it as directed! 
this year when I took some of the leaves and hay off them I found a HUGE trail for MOLES
I only found 2 roots and assumed they were all dead I removed some more of the leaves leaving several for the soil and imported compost to fill the
raised bed. I planted watermelon there and have sets about 4 inches ready to do my summer fruit bidding but today. . . . I found several new asparagus shoots!! in other areas
Should I remove the Water melon and pray that some more of my asperagus comes up or should I leave them both and hope for the best??:watering
I am prone to do the later and hope for the best
