Yeah folks, just had to make some sort of dramatic entrance! After losing my log-in info and getting a new password, I finally managed to get back on here. On this last password I got, turns out I was mistaking the "v" in my password for a "u". Probably made the same mistake with some of the past passwords I have tried.

Anyways, BlueJay, there are some replies made by the folks at Homegrown Goodness on the post that you made about bean breeding. Dumont offers her compliments and beans. I also offer some Gold Trout beans that I have.

And... that's pretty much it.

Does anyone besides me stay logged on all the time? I just minimize the page when I want to go someplace else. Is there any harm in that, other than someone thinking I spend 24-7 on this forum, lol?
Glad you made it back, SeedObsessor!

That was quick, Lucky! Uhh, I guess there really isn't a problem with staying logged on all of the time, I've never really thought about it for some reason. I'll have to start doing that!

And I always pictured you with your mobile device Lucky, going about your life with one eye faithfully focused on TEG....
now you say it isn't so.

I'm always logged on. Nifty mentioned on another post that we would keep our passwords when the conversion takes place. Made me wonder where my password is? :/ I know I probably won't me the only one who doesn't remember it.

Better figure it out before the switch. Trying to find your way around a new site and trying to remember your password would probably give you a brain stroke.

If I had a mobile device, I'd be one of those people who walk into poles or manholes while reading TEG.

I had to contact Rob about my password once. Computer problems & I guess I'd never written it down.

We were told by the internet gurus NOT to use the same passwords for everything. Finally, I really made an effort to have a lot of them and have them written down. I don't have much trouble finding a place for a few pieces of paper. Mom used to write things on the back of pictures hanging on walls. I now have some cryptic notes on old photographs.

What I would try now, Mary, is to ask to change the password. When you are asked to type in your current password, you may get a link to click for having it emailed to you.

Yeah, I'm logged on all the time. And the computer is often on sleep. I do close the browser so there isn't too much of a pajama party going on when I'm not around.

i'm one of the worst when it comes to passwords and using the same one for most everything. though i tend to use the same word but switch out some of the letters for either numbers or special symbols, so not every password is the same way. while i was working as a contractor with a big company, they had me switching out passwords every month and i couldn't use the previous one with switched out letters or symbols. now that was password 'goodness'.

Hey Seedobesser !

Thanks for letting me know about the homegrown goodness. I got on their about a week or so ago. I'll have to go back and look into it again. Have been busy working with all my bean seed crop from this year. I hand shelled out over 100 pounds of beans in October. Actually took me just a little over a month to just about shell them all out. I got one more little pile of pods to go. Maybe I'll get that done tomorrow.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gosh I don't know if I would like another bean with a pattern like Gold Trout, but thanks so kindly for the offer. I am assuming that might be Jacob's Cattle gold. I already grow one called Palomino and another one like it called Speckled 1770. I really am not going to be able to keep collecting varieties indefinitely. I think my count is over 300 now. A fellow from South Africa sent me almost 100 varieties. That would make my numbers over 400.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was going to take pictures of those ones from Africa and put the photos either on the Easy Garden forum or my website. Now there another fellow from Australia who contacted me last week and is going to send me a package with a bunch of Australian varieties. Both of these fellows want to see someone here in America keep them alive.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
On another subject I thought I was the only one who stays logged in all the time on the Easy Garden. I have been doing this most of the year. Just click on my bookmark for Easy Garden and I'm in the door already.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later today I'm going back to my Little Easy Bean Network thread and put up photos of all the new bean seed coat patterns I found in the garden this year and photos of what each of these beans with changed seed coats that I didn't plant came out of also. I think Marshall will especially enjoy these photos.
