Maybe I should take sweat baths :)!

I love to take baths, I take them to relax not clean. I have a whole shelf of different bath oils. I fill tub, light candles, open a bottle of wine.
I'm going to the pharmacy this morning, since I'm no longer going to the pharm ;).

Gonna get some Epsom salts with eucalyptus and spearmint.

If I like that stuff ... I can get Epsom salts in bulk. It makes my skin feel better and I've used it but not often. Feeling good and being healthier aren't always the same thing. But, I'm getting a little tired of climbing in a tub of "hot cereal" with the Aveeno - ya know what I mean?

Here's a question, do you think adding the oils will be a benefit in combination with the salts? Have you ever tried that?

In Russia, selling the most ordinary essential bath oil. It does not dissolve in water. It will simply float on a surface. Pre-need to add oil to any base and mix thoroughly. Essential oil can be dissolved in the base oil. Base oil works as a conductor and dissolves the ester. Sometimes, essential oil diluted in sea salts or bath salts. The efficiency of such baths would be higher, since the salt itself is useful. To do this, take about 4 tablespoons of salt, put in a linen bag (can be wrapped in a cheesecloth) and added to the essential oil. Bag needs a little shake and then lowered into the water.

Steve I know what you mean about Aveeno feels like oatmeal. I mix bath salts with bath oil. I will often use 4 or 5 different oils in same bath. If you take a lot of bath get a bathing pillow. You blow them up with air then they stick to side of tub with suction cups

I have tried the Epsom salts with eucalyptus and spearmint, and it was a very obnoxious smell. Had to throw it out!
Even though essential oil doesn't mix well with bath water, you will still get the benefits of it, if you just add a couple drops to the water.
You may have to clean the tub a little more vigorously if you use much oil, but I'd say it's worth it.

Well, I made the commitment before I read this.

I had her sniff the bag. DW says, "I don't really like that." DD was here for lunch. I asked her. She said, "it's wonderful!"

I showered this evening ... when I told DW that I could have bathed, she just smiled. It's quite a pervasive odor and I'm not sure I got the bag tightly closed, outside the bathroom door. Maybe she's "warming" to the idea, maybe swayed by DD's assessment, maybe making plans for me to sleep in the spare bedroom tomorrow night ...

I should gear up in some way since the time of higher humidity, less physical work and outdoor exposure means my skin is in the best shape, right now. Prescription steroid cream is my friend but my MD doesn't like our long-time relationship and seems inclined to intercede.

I don't think that this will quite do it ...

But, ya know, this suddenly made me realize that I was thinking of the tree eucalyptus. The above is from a bush. Florists use it and I've handled a ton of the stuff ... I wonder if there is a difference.

I'm with Mary on the tub cleaning. Oils are messy. But I do enjoy a good soak in plain old epsom salts. It really helps ease sore muscles and joints.
I get it in a 12 pound box from Costco. Cheapest place I've seen it.

I got away with it.

What probably helped was that DW will now and then soak her feet in Epsom salt water. I encouraged her to try that with the new stuff. After sitting there with the basin for 45 minutes, I don't think she could really smell the eucalyptus at any pronounced levels. Then, I went in and took my bath.

No complaints so I'll likely try it again tonight. A couple times a week, I'll see how my skin feels. There really doesn't seem to be much oil in this product.

Taking a bath is easy (like falling off a log ;)). Walking for 30 minutes is easy, even for an olde lame guy like me! Eating fruit is easy. Easy as apple pie ... well, maybe not that easy :).

Here I am in America's premier apple-growing region and as a kid, I didn't really like apples. Apple pie -- yes! We should make some apple upside down cake, apple butter for toast ... wait, I digress!

I did something this morning that I do often during this time of year. After peeling and chopping an apple, I stuck it in the microwave for 60 seconds. Stir, sprinkle with a quarter cup of raisins, back into the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir ... let it sit a moment.

If I wouldn't have had such a big banana to go on my cold cereal, I might have put the cereal and the banana on top that hot apple. Okay, two bowls, half the banana in the empty bowl, cereal on top of that, half the banana on top the cereal ... crowd my spoon in there ... pour the milk.

What have I got? About 3/4 of a cup of cereal and 3 (three!) servings of fruit ;)! Easy!

Cooking my apples all the time? No, I sometimes cook a pear ;)! No. Well, yes I do. But, I will have a peeled and cut-up apple with a peeled and cut-up pear and, maybe, a peeled and cut-up persimmon sometime later today. Everything raw. Easy.

I might have a peeled and cut-up apple this evening, along with some blueberry toast and a cup of tea.
