Got to hospital at 7 AM, surgery was at 9:30. I slept until 2PM, got a room at 4:00. I only get beef broth, jello and ice cream. I’d rather have a steak! Haven’t walked yet, but I will. I’m ok!
I bet you do want steak! Hungry without having been allowed to eat for so many hours. Sleep well tonight.

Enjoy your time being waited on. Then the sadistic ones will force you to walk....... that won’t be enjoyable but everyone I know who experienced it said afterwards, they wished they would have done it sooner.

I’m walking better now than before surgery. Looking forward to PT and the torture of getting my knee back to something that is useable. No more limping, dragging a screaming painful knee around. Hospital staff is blown away by how well I’m walking. I’m smart enough to know that pain killer has a lot to do with that. LOL I can put my weight on new knee, already have better stride pushing the walker, than I’ve had in a long time. I hit everything I do like a tornado, I’ll do this the same. I’ll be careful, years in machine and welding shops gave me an excellent background in SAFETY. I don’t want to mess this up and have a do-over. But it’s not going to keep me down. No pain, no gain.

Of course, you will. You will amaze them all! Wishes for speedy recovery and hugs for any speed bumps you may encounter.
