Morning @baymule ; im glad you’ve got something enjoyable now to wile away your time with. The dreaming and doing that’s part of any farm is special and satisfying.
While looking thru the pictures my eyes get wide when i get to the one with the plywood/pallet floor. They get wide because even from this far away i can see SNAKES! I sure don’t miss them things.
Please don’t think im picking, just mentioning it out of concern.

I don’t miss them big temperature numbers either!

Snakes, don’t forget the rats. I’ll be putting out rat poison. I have two 40’ shipping containers to empty and get moved. I probably won’t be able to place them where I want them until next spring or summer, there is a lot of fence to move and I’ll be down with knee replacement surgery.

This “floor” will be a temporary thing, as I also plan on building either a 16’ x16’ or a 16’x 24’ building. Then I’ll be tearing this one and the 3 sided one next to it, down. I’ll use the metal for the roof on the new building.

IF you or neighbors have any cats, PLEASE don't put out rat poison. MY good kitties cleaned out the rat population living UNDER my coop, and inside of the chain link fencing. Neighbor trashed house across the street, then defaulted. Garbage trapped in their garage brought the rats.
A few months after I Saw them, they were gone.
Rat poison will poison cats, too.

Me pulling trim off

What I pulled off today

Pile at son’s house. All this trim is on top of a pile of scrap lumber. When done remodeling son’s house, I’ll get a roll off box to put all the debris in.

Nails left sticking out after I pull trim off. I pounded a bunch of them in today.

There is still more trim to pull off, up at the ceiling and around windows. Tomorrow I’ll be climbing the ladder to pull trim and pound in nails.

Yesterday the utility room added on the back was so HOT! We’ll guess what? The AC unit sits right next to the house and where the wall of the utility room joined the house wall, had big gaps and the hot exhaust was blowing right in the utility room!

Do this morning I brought caulk and ram a seam, plugging gaps.

It still needs a LOT of caulking, I can see daylight on the opposite wall from the inside. But this helped tremendously.

Then I took a bag of trash to the dumpster at my nephew’s house and visited with him a little. He volunteered to move my 6 round bales of hay from son’s house to the farm. So that is done now. Got home after 7 PM. Tired, gritty with dirt, dried sweat and I’m headed fro the shower. Since I’m so not excited about cooking supper, I think I’ll have a bowl of cereal.

Been on the ladder all day. I got trim up at the ceiling pulled down in all 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 2 closets, the hallway and nails pounded in. I’m tired.

Go up ladder.
Pry trim off, throw in floor.
Pound in nails with 22 ounce waffle head framing hammer.
Go down ladder.
Move ladder.
Rinse. Repeat.
