Last day, we went to Animal Kingdom. It was a slower pace, more relaxed and not a mad rush for the next ride.

Dad provided transportation.

We rode an open bus through the Savanna, 110 acres. The “road” was concrete, but simulated as a muddy dirt, rough road, bouncy and rutted. Some of the animals were kept behind a moat, don’t want to feed anybody to the lions.

After that, we went on a train ride with a stop at a petting zoo. Girls made a beeline for the goats. I sure hope @Mini Horses and @frustratedearthmother don’t see this or they may take a vacation to my farm and surprise me with a couple of goats!

We went to another roller coaster ride to the top of Mount Everest. DG3 and I sat that one out. I got some pictures of the Baobob tree. It is entirely man made by Disney Imagineers. There are all sorts of animals molded into the trunk, the more you look the more you see. The leaves are all singularly attached. The whole thing looks so real! It’s on an island, wish I could have got closer. Probably 20 million people wish that too and that’s why it’s on an island.

We went to the Avatar section. There was a 40 minute wait for the boat ride, according to the app DD had. It lied. A tour group beat us to it, it wound up being 2 hours of stand, shuffle forward 3 feet, stand, lock knees, stand some more and some more after that. All that for a 5 minute ride. Yes, we are crazy.

Before we left, there was less than a 10 minute wait for personal time with Minnie and Mickey.

We walked 7+ miles a day, hours of standing in line, all on concrete. My new replacement knee was a champion, it never hurt. I was no more tired than the rest of them.

Lots of color and pizazz! And so clean too! So much thought and detail everywhere you look. Truly incredible. The whole city of Orlando was super clean and buildings used color too, not as bright, but pastels and muted tones of color.

Back to the real world. When I got home I changed into farm clothes and went out to inspect the animals. Reina’s left eye is weeping and cloudy, she can’t see well from that eye. She is scared and spooky. We have a vet appointment tomorrow at 2:00.

i really liked also missing out on the being airsick both ways.

that picture of the strange two blobby rocklike things was interesting, i'm also assuming those were man-made but looked real. very interesting for sure.

Wow Bay, it looks like you all had so much fun! I went to Disney World when it first opened many years ago. Looks like they've added lots since then. Like that you did the Safari world afterwards for that much needed slower pace.
