Hahaha! At least the squirrel didn’t do THAT to my car! But a deer would total it, I’m sure. Deer are all over the place here, really have to watch for them. Found a little fawn on my place a few days ago, nestled down in the grass.

This is Rainbow’s chocolate ewe lamb, I named her BonBon.
This is Cookie’s ewe lamb, I named her Ginger.
I counted up all my ewes, counting BonBon and Ginger, total is 29.

I spent all morning outside just enjoying my sheep. Yard needed mowing, so I blocked off a few places and let the ewes and lambs out. They made a beeline for the tomatoes which I went to great effort to fence off with hog panels, and they “trimmed” one plant. They grazed all morning, got full tummies and went back to their pen. Yard still needs mowing but doesn’t look near as bad as it did.

Heat advisory in effect here. Heat index ranging from 110F to 115F plus humidity. Sweat rolls off me, just standing in the shade doing nothing. I’m soaking wet in mere minutes. I drink plenty of fluids, so y’all don’t worry. I’m being careful and taking breaks. I come inside around 11 or 12 and try to stay out of the worst heat. Storms north of me, tornadoes yesterday in the Texas panhandle that killed several people.
Texas is hot, but this is extremely hot for June. Normally we don’t get this hot until August. It’s miserable.
