.......a GOOD day has finally arrived.
Got a call from a friend asking me if I would like some feedlot manure. DUH.....Told him I was on my way.
Got there and a friend of his was there and gave me a quart of the best tasting homemade cranberry wine. THEN my friend and I shared a quart of ice cold goats milk (my first time). Was surprised at just how good it was. He said that it's MUCH better for the body, too.
THEN....and here's the clincher.....found out that I start work on Friday.....yes, an honest to God, wage earning, tax paying job. Will be the first time I've been able to be in that "place" since April 3, 2008. I am besides myself.
Here's a pic of the manure pile....2 truck loads

Now....on the way to help my Dad with some yard work.

That is fabulous! I know how you feel about the job situation, we were out of work for an entire year before hubby found something to get us on the right track again. Not the best job, not the best pay... but its stable and I have to smile about this.

The goat milk sounds devine too! I am yet to have any. You are making me want to try it as soon as I get an opportunity! (I better not share that with hubby, because if he likes it... we'll have goats in a week!)

P.s. - GORGEOUS POO PILE!

Boggy...It couldn't happen to a nicer person! I'm so happy for you. I had my first taste of goat's milk at the age of 56! and I was surprised that it tasted like cow's milk. I sampled from two different breeds of goats and the other one was "goatie".

By the way, that's a nice pile of Sh*t. I had to say that because my husband doesn't allow me to cuss. Now I feel guilty for saying that!
