Been Busy

MontyJ and I are doing ok. We have just been a little busy. Our daughter is keeping us busy with color guard again this year, I dont mind because it keeps her out of trouble.
MontyJ has been working a lot again.... not out of town though.
We didnt do much for the 4th of July, we had a quiet day for once. The DD had a parade that day and has another one Saturday. And band season has begun.
I have been elected to do the alterations on the girls guard uniforms this year. I dont mind at all it gives me something to do until I have my surgery.

No garden this year. Got too much going on this year. Maybe next year.

If you are like most of us, there is probably enough in jars and in the freezer to keep you until next year! Just take good care of yourself until your surgery.

I would have loved to be able to put a garden in this year. We are almost out of everything. Opened a CAN of green beans from the store the other day, our DD threw hers away. She said she doesnt like that kind. She has been raised on garden food all her life.
MontyJ is too busy with his new job and I cant do it this year.

In your daughters defense can green beans are nasty. I grew up on store can vegetables,

Nasty looking and nasty tasting (I detect a hint of tobacco flavor) and probably lacking in all their vitamin value, but filling if you're in to empty calories the 'healthy' way.

I agree with you both!!! I grew up eating the store bought veggies too. I would rather have fresh veggies over the store bought. I buy the frozen kind at the store. Since we dont have a garden this year, I dont have a choice.
