I went down to the nursery today looking for some bee plants. Right at the entrance were some lavender plants in full bloom. The bees must have known what I was looking for. They were swarming around the plants as though to say,"Here tis. Pick this one".

Before my lavender bloomed the bumble bees were all over my veggie garden - now that my lavender is in bloom I haven't seen a one bee in my veggie garden - they LOVE the lavender!

I wish I had a few bumble bees. There's nothing like them for pollinating squash blossoms. They have the shoulders to push right in there.
