This is my baby. She is 11 yrs. old. She will never sit or lay down in her pool!! But love to dig at the bottom of the pool.

I've had her since she was 8 weeks old.
Thanks for looking. DSC09064.JPG

Do you ever put toys in there for her to paw at or pick up?
My chickens like to stand in water in the summertime. (Not the same thing, I know, haha)

One of my Pyrenees likes to stand in a pool too. Our black Lab/Great Dane loves to slosh in a pool and get totally wet.

I had a border collie when I was a kid. I grew up.

She loved children and would guide elementary school kids into our yard as they tried to walk past. One kid came to the door to complain. A few weeks passed. She began following him home. He came by to ask if she could stay the night. You can guess the rest of the story ...

My daughter also had a border collie at her grandparents' house. She grew up, they grew older. When she began college and had a job as well (the kid not the dog ;)), they gave her to neighbors with kids (the dog, not the college kid ;))

Both of those dogs lived with us for about as long as Birdie has been with you ...

She's cute! I bet she's fast too.

I have a shallow water trough for my Bernese and she loves to gallop through it, and occasionally stand still. I also have a little heeler with an aversion to water, but if you throw a toy in it she'll be right behind. She'll even put her head under water to get it.

My first cavalier was a female named Lola. She was out on show circuit with a handler when I bought her. She hated baths the whole time being bathed she would shake. I could not keep her out of any filthy water, pond, stream ,puddle she jumped right in.

my sister just got a puppy a couple weeks ago, she was told possible border collie with spaniel of some kind. Milo has been liking my sister & seems to stay by her side the most but will snuggle a lot with my youngest nephew. my sister didn't want to get another black cocker spaniel since it would remind her too much of Shadow the one they lost last year in the house fire. with the new house almost complete getting a new dog for their family almost seems like things are moving on for them. i can't wait to meet the new pup!

@thistlebloom That's mean of you. Throwing his toy into water that he hates...... That is what I would expect a southerner to do.

Daughter got a border/husky cross. He has both breeds bad habits. Wants to be loved, boundless energy and can lope for miles. When she brings him, he has choice between a sand bottom, clean creek and a filthy, muck bottom pond. Guess where he heads for?
