Finally! We have open blooms on tomatoes and bush beans and a bunch of closed ones on our squash plants!!! :weee It's about time we start seeing some action around here! lol Everything has been growing like crazy since the weather finally warmed up, but the blooms bring us one step closer to some actual food.

Of course, it has been in the 80's for the past couple of weeks, which is way below our normal for this time of year, and it is supposed to jump over 100 today and stay that way for a while. I purposely placed my raised planters where they would get afternoon shade during the heat of the summer, so hopefully that will help with heat stress. Our afternoon sun is very unforgiving.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will see baby tomatoes and beans soon!!!! :fl

Me too, Journey. I can almost taste those wonderful, homegrown tomatoes now! Drool, drool. . . .

Wonderful!! I found my first tiny tomato today, too! There is a point every year, when I think, maybe the garden just isn't going to work out this year- and then I see a promise, in a teeny tiny fruit! Congrats!

Skeeter, I can really relate to your tomato inventory:D I had 1 little tomato last Sunday, then 2. For 5 days my :DH got the 2 tomato inventory. I was totally distraught because now it is hot and I figured out of all my tomato plants 2 tomatoes was all I was gonna get. Then this morning I discovery 5 more tomatoes deep underneath now getting big enough to see. WOOHOO...no more daily tomato inventory.

Yep, things are rockin and rollin now. There are lots of little baby tomatoes and teeny tiny little green beans. There are quite a few little squashes, but it will be a few more days until I know if there is good germination there or not. Oh, and I harvested some cilantro the other day for add to a dish I was making. This is sooooo exciting!
