I am about to scream, cry and then laugh about everything that's happened this year to my garden. In addition to what seems like 1000 other garden problems this year, I found THIS today on my pumpkins:

It's a ton of blue colored bugs, and their babies and brown eggs. My chickens won't eat them.

What is this??!!

Poor pumpkin plant :( . Yes do kill all of those squash bugs and squish the eggs as well. Don't let them win the war of invading your garden. I hope your garden will get better and reward you with some crops! ;)

If you notice in the picture you will see at the top of the leaf something round goldish red colored. That is the squash bug eggs. You'll want to squish those and not only do they lay on top of the leaf, but on the bottom of the leaf also.

I squashed a mass of those little copper colored eggs the other day too. I wondered what they were, but I knew it couldn't be good!

my birds wont eat them either...I knock them off into a jar of soapy and squish the eggs...next year make sure you rotate your planting so the bugs cant find them easily...
