Spring in central Texas means bluebonnets, and we have lots of them this year. Wildflowers are the only kind I can grow.

Ahhh...now I understand a phrase in one of the Dixie Chicks songs, "on a pillow of blue bonnets and a blanket made of stars". I knew blue bonnets were flowers of course, but now I see how "fluffy" (for lack of a better description) to foliage is. So beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

Lovely! That is a flower I learned about on Antiques Roadshow. All the Texas artists are sure to include some bluebonnets in their landscapes.

I am not certain what is more beautiful. The blue bonnets or the sweet little blonde cherub in their midst. I vote for the cutie-pie. Big Hugs...

That is so awesome, and your wee one is like mine and I'll find her all sprawled out in the flowers picking until her heart's content!
