We sure are enjoying these salad greens and fixings the last couple weeks. I sure hope our first freeze of the year doesn't get them tonight!

What a great idea. If you get flooded you can just sail off in your garden. :gig
Is that tall stuff in the center sweet potato?

That is way cool!

My greens actually did well through the frost, and some people say a couple of frosts intensifies the flavor or salad greens. :p

The tall stuff is radishes. I have 2 kinds lettuce, spinach, and onions as well. I have covered it with a sheet about 5 times when frost or freeze was threatening. We have been blessed with lots of fog off of Dale Hollow Lake that is within a few thousand feet and not had any frost and it didn't freeze last night because we had a huge fog again this morning so again nothing froze.

Hey, that's a nice use for your row crops! ;)
I must be slowing down. I puzzled over that post for 5 minutes before I finally got the joke. :/

I had fresh salad yesterday, can't believe this late in December and still having fresh lettuce, onions, radishes, and spinach. I did pull up the radishes because they quit developing. The other things are getting a little tough but will harvest probably the last tomorrow as we are to have around 20 degrees for three nights in a row. Already planning for spring!
