I sowed 3 different lettuces, spinach, and green onion sets yesterday before two tenths rain and already see the spinach sprouting. With the turnips, kale and cabbage Mom put out we should have a little fall harvest. The greens went into the old aluminum boat filled with soil.

Where did you find onion sets at this time of year??

I've tried to keep them in the fridge from spring purchases. Actually, I don't try - I do keep them in the fridge. They begin to shrivel badly after a month or so but I get them out in the garden about every week.

Best of Luck with those greens! I hope we can see a picture of the boat beneath green waves sometime in the future.

I order onions sets online this time of year?! They seem pretty available that way... just not available at any nursery or those big box stores that I've ever seen.

I like it!

Now for some big rocks so that it can be running aground while green waves wash over the stern!

:)
