Brain Freeze

Something happen this morning that has me a little shaken. I couldn't remember the last number of 4 number alarm code.I have had same code since alarm was installed 15 months ago.I used the code 2x a day, turn on turn off. Most days I don't even have to think about it, today alarm went off because I couldn't remember last number. Lucky I did finally hit rght numbers and alarm turned off. When my nephew was living with me I changed code to house, to something I thought was unforgettable 1,2,3,4 He once called me at work for code he forgot it. I made him wait outside till I got home for being dumb. Now I think I was to hard on him.

i don't think this is part of my car accident on Monday, but mostly because i've been stressed out trying to handle all the garbage that goes along with dealing with insurance companies & having to replace a well loved/enjoyed car i've had for a long time.

i noticed the past 2 days i haven't been able to spit out or think of words when i know what they are or what i want to say.

every time i get someone on the phone whether it is the ins co or the rental place they ask when the car will go to the shop for repairs........the car was totaled in the hind end! it ain't coming back from that according to the ins co!

Seems to be a pattern here ... total car = brain freeze ...

Aaarrgh! I can relate NYboy. I have that problem with a word I want drifting by before I can grab it, then it gets lost in the fog...

I worked at a place where I was the first person there every morning and had to open up. The alarm panel was in a dark corner and the keypad wasn't lit up. Most times this wasn't a problem. but I needed my reading glasses to see the numbers clearly. So of course I unlocked one morning and went to the alarm panel and forgot to take my glasses. If I had remained calm I would have been able to do the numbers by touch but my brain froze up and the alarm went off. It was horrible. The police came and gave me a dumb blond award.

other than bruising from the seatbelt and a little stiffness in the neck for a couple days, no damage to me. my Impreza, sadly, didn't make it. i got hit 1st and pushed into someone in front of me which pretty much tapped the SUV in front of him. no one seriously hurt including the guy that hit me. i had enough time when i stopped to look in my rear view mirror to see the guy wasn't slowing like he should. not sure how fast he was going but i assume it could have been around 40mph since that is what is posted there. got hit right in front of State Trooper barracks but the local PD took care of everything.

strangely, my air bags didn't go off.

i had a concussion as a kid at 12 yrs and was knocked out for a couple hours, but this didn't knock me out. i always thought i can blame the 'can't spit the words' out on that concussion. but there are some days where i get flustered and that makes it harder.

I've had about 3 concussions, one was pretty serious. Maybe I can blame my word hunting on that!

I can't believe the airbag didn't go off. My friend was in same type of accident. When his airbags went off there was a powder filling the car, his 1st thoughts where clouds and he was in heaven LOL.
