So it's in the 50's, high of 73 today, sunny, just rained last night AAAAANNNNNNDDD I am home (and) my phone is down to 0%. :\
While I wait for my phone to charge I thought I'd learn to upload some photos and share.
We get this sign on our main drag that says, "Road work to start on or about June 1st." It's kinda like the government is here to see you. :tongue
DH and I kept wondering WHAT ARE THEY DOING ON THIS BRIDGE?!?!? I KNOW that they put in at LEAST one good hour of work every Monday through Friday, so what gives? SO...on our way home from DD's and dinner, which Used to be a 12 minute drive and NOW is about a 20 minute drive bc of the stupid detour, we stopped to take a look. Here is what we saw two days ago:

DH thought the picture looks like ice, but it's just a rerouted rural stream, a branch of the Embarass River, named supposedly bc General Grant fell into it.

I think this could help me in my garden.

Last Feb. I called our city to repair a water leak to the water line in the middle of our cul de sac. A couple days later they showed up to dig a hole, the next day they sent out 3 guys to make repairs, then they filled the hole with gravel. We are still waiting for them to cover the gravel with asphalt. Governments has many deparments resulting in lots of paperwork which creates gridlock between the departments, as well as MANY specialised unions. Working conditions are negotiated to follow union rules. So ... :caf
