Now, I'll admit to something that I resent: how time fades the color from old photographs. Okay, the color captured by those old cameras wasn't very wonderful. But then, what is there begins to fade. I predate color film, at least, as it was available to the public. I'd like to think that my memory colorizes the pictures taken long ago.
Historical photos would have more meaning if a larger slice of the reality of the moment was captured. Sure, some artistry relied on back and white but that wouldn't have been the intent of every early photographer. Artistry wasn't the intent of digitS', out with a box camera long ago.
