I know this may be an odd request. My hen has finially gone broody which is great but I don't have anything to put under her. I am looking for buckeye eggs preferably in SE or Central Ohio that I can put under her. I am hoping to be able to pick them up not have them shipped. You usually get poor hatch rates from shipped eggs. I looked of BYC and all they have listed is some way down south. It may be too hot to ship and expect good results from there.

Meyer Hatchery in OH sells Buckeye chicks. I'll bet they sell eggs too.

ETA: (Call 888-568-9755 to check availability. They don't place chick orders thru the website and it may not be current.)

I'm getting ready to order 50 st. run Buckeye chicks from them. Really excited to try this breed I've heard so many good things about.

I didn't think about them because I was looking for eggs but I know they do have them. I think you will like them. The hen I have Pepper is a great layer. They say they lay medium size eggs but her's are large. And they are very cold hardy, great for this part of the country. I had 3 hens but then we had a fox problem and now I have one and one rooster. I have other chickens but just the two buckeyes.
