I think most of you plant the regular cucumbers and not the bush type. Due to my limited space, I planted a bush type in a 15 gallon container. The plant looks healthy but for some reason, I just don't think it will produce much. (Oh me of little faith!)

Have any of you done the bush type? If so, what were the results? Are they worth the work? My preschoolers like them and it's such an easy vegetable to give to them that I always buy them. This year I decide to see if I could grow them.

I remember growing Spacemaster with pretty fair results. Of course, dry weather didn't help the production.

My cucs turned out to be bush types last year. I thought they were vines and even gave them a trellis, but nope, they just hunkered there. But they did give us a lot of fruit.
